Notre avis sur l'album The Best Of

The Best Of par Imagination

Aah Imagination, leurs jupettes antiques et leur disco funk très inspiré de Earth, Wind and Fire en moins élaboré. Groupe de la fin du disco, le trio anglais n'en a pas moins marqué les esprits avec deux tubes et demi.

Tout d'abord «Flashback » ouvre le bal en 1981, puis ce sont les redoutablement dansants « Just an Illusion » et « Music and Lights » en 1982. L'intérêt d'un best of est de retrouver ces tubes incontournables, aptes à lancer toute soirée disco digne de ce nom.

Il est cependant possible de préférer une compilation thématique sur le disco à The Best of de Imagination ou d'autres, tant l'envie se fait vite pressante d'enchaîner leurs titres avec The Michael Zager Band ou Patrick Hernandez. Hormis les hits incontournables, les autres titres d'Imagination se révèlent vite lassants, voire faiblards.
